Colonial Trades: Blacksmith

Posted on by

A blacksmith provides metal resources such as hammers and axes and stuff like that.  A blacksmith works on bending metal.  He bends the metal until the piece of metal looks like he wants it to look.  If you came into the blacksmith shop, you would see the blacksmith working on his pieces of metal.  Sometimes there is more than one blacksmith in one blacksmith shop.

Brown

Posted on by

The creek is brown hot chocolate

With white foamy marshmallows.

There’s also a glorious crackling sound

Of the leaf chips.

I also like the big tall sugarcanes.

I also love the bush salad.

The brown spring is a yummy feast.

How to Feed a Hamster

Posted on by

To have a hamster, first you need to have a cage and a lid to the cage.  (Always make sure you close the lid to the cage.)  Second, make sure you have a food bowl.  Make sure you feed your hamster every day.  Third, get a water bottle and a drip dish.  Make sure you fill it up when it is empty and refill it every three days.  Finally, get a hamster wheel and a hamster ball.  Let it exercise every day.  Give it some treats too!  Have fun!

Iditarod!

Posted on by

I chose Dallas Seavey as my own musher to follow and try to beat to the finish line.  He is a veteran musher, and he grew up helping his dad with the dogs.  He was the third generation of dog racers in his family.  He was the Iditarod champion last year.  I chose Dallas because he was a champion, and I think he can be a champion again.

Thank you for coming to visit with us, Mrs. Guertin.  I thought those dogs were some of the best-looking dogs I have ever seen.  I also loved the way you hooked the dogs onto the truck and the design on the dog’s crates.  I loved how the dogs always crawled through your legs and looked at us.  I guess you take really good care of those dogs because they look like they really trust you.  I bet you would do anything for your dogs.  If you ever enter a race, I will be cheering for you.  I just love those dogs!  I hope you can come again!
