Little Miss Muffet (funny style)

Posted on by

Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet

Eating her oatmeal.

Then came a monster,

And Miss Muffet ran away!

Then .. . . . .

Along came another monster, and he went and gobbled her up.  Then came her sister to get her for dinner.  She got stomped on!  Then came here sister’s brother, and his truck got kicked away like a soccer ball.

Then came an even bigger monster, who put that monster on his fire and burnt the monster.  So he was so, so, so hungry, and then he gobbled up the whole world!

If You’re Not From Vermont . . .

Posted on by

A form change poem

(With thanks to David Bouchard, “If You’re Not From the Prairie . . . “)

If you’re not from Vermont,

You don’t know my mud.

You can’t know my mud.

My mud is fun to play in.

It’s fun to get your feet stuck in it

And have a challenge to see who can get them out the fastest.

If you’re not from Vermont,

You don’t know my mud.

You see,

My skin is mud.

My hair is trees that stick up tall.

My ears are flapping wings.

My feet go into the mud like strong posts.

I’ve got see-through vision in my eyes.

My home is Vermont,

And I love it so much.

What is Red?

Posted on by

Red is red roses that shine in the sun.

Red is a pickup truck that zooms down a highway at night.

Red is a shiny, juicy apple that gleams in the sunlight.

Red is a pool of apple juice that you can pour down your throat when you’re hot.

Red is a red velvet cake to eat on your birthday.

Red is crunching leaves you hear in the fall,

And steak sizzling on the grill.

Red is a fire alarm that goes off when there is a fire.

Red is a wonderful color!

I love red!

It’s so shiny!
